Since summer 2023, I have been working with Little Ease Films. I have worked on two feature-length documentaries, editing material to shape and consolidate the story so far, successfully helping the production company towards their aim of securing further funding from NI Screen and Doc Society, among others. The first film is a coming-of-age story filmed in Northern Ireland – a longitudinal project directed by the BAFTA-nominated founder of Little Ease, Chris Kelly – which is expected to finish shooting in 2028. The second film is a transatlantic creative collaboration between directors Patrick Bodenham (UK) and Dr. Pablo Correa (US), which will tell the story of Hill Country blues legend Junior Kimbrough and his family, and explore themes of racial inequality, authorship and the ethics of filmmaking. More details to come.
Later this year, I will also be editing a short film supported by Doc Society, directed by Rabie Mustapha.
